About us.
Welcome to Abinta Adventures

Namaste, I’m Abinta.
Before I became a trekking guide, I worked with textiles in Kathmandu. At that time, I never imagined that the mountains would one day become such an important part of my life.
Everything changed when I started trekking myself. I loved the feeling of being outdoors, the quiet moments on the trail, the challenge of reaching a new place and the people you meet along the way. The mountains gave me a completely new direction.
Becoming a guide was not easy. Training, equipment and experience all cost money, and opportunities are not always easy to find, especially for women in Nepal. With support, a lot of determination and many days in the mountains, I was able to build a new career.
Abinta Adventures grew from this journey.
Today, we organise treks across Nepal together with our team of female guides and local staff. We take our guests to well-known places such as Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, Mardi Himal and Mustang, as well as to quieter trails where you can experience Nepal away from the busiest routes.
For us, trekking is about much more than reaching a destination. It is about sharing time together, discovering local life, enjoying the mountains and creating memories that stay with you long after the trek is over.
We want you to feel welcome from the first conversation until the final day of your journey.

The Role of Women in Nepal

Nepal is a country full of strong, capable, and ambitious women. Yet for many of them, the path toward independence is still difficult. Access to education, professional training, stable income, and self determined careers is often limited, especially in rural mountain communities.
Many women grow up with few realistic opportunities to choose their own profession or build an independent future. The challenge is not a lack of motivation or ability. The challenge is access.
At Abinta Adventures, we believe that trekking can open new doors. Becoming a female guide means more than leading guests through the mountains. It means earning independently, gaining confidence, supporting a family, and becoming visible in a profession where women are still uncommon.
Every trek with us helps create more space for women in Nepal’s trekking industry. It supports training, experience, employment, and long term opportunities for women who are ready to build their own path.
