Itinerary
Day 1: Early morning pickup from your hotel in Pokhara and transfer to the airport. Take a scenic 25-minute flight to Jomsom (2,720 meters) with stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges and the Kali Gandaki Gorge. Begin trekking to Lubra Village (2,770 meters), following the Kali Gandaki River before branching into a hidden valley. The trek takes about 4–5 hours. Explore Lubra, one of the last Bon communities in Nepal, visit the Bonpo Monastery, and learn about ancient spiritual traditions. Overnight at a local teahouse in Lubra Village. Day 2: Trek from Lubra Village to Muktinath (3,800 meters) in approximately 5–6 hours. Ascend through arid, high-altitude landscapes with panoramic views of Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, and the Annapurna Massif. Observe unique alpine flora such as juniper and high-altitude shrubs. Experience the cultural blend of Tibetan Buddhist and Hindu influences in the Mustang region. Overnight at a lodge in Muktinath. Day 3: Exploration day in Muktinath. Visit the sacred Muktinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and observe the 108 holy water spouts symbolizing purification. Explore the Jwala Mai Temple with its natural eternal flame and visit the nearby Buddhist monastery. Experience the harmonious coexistence of Hindu and Buddhist traditions in this important pilgrimage site. Overnight at the same lodge in Muktinath. Day 4: Descend from Muktinath to Jomsom (2,720 meters) in about 5–6 hours. Trek through the windy Kali Gandaki Valley, famous for sacred Shaligram fossils. Pass traditional Thakali villages known for their cultural heritage and apple orchards. Arrive in Jomsom and spend the evening exploring the town and interacting with the local community. Overnight at a lodge in Jomsom. Day 5: Early morning flight from Jomsom back to Pokhara, approximately 25 minutes, with final aerial views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Transfer to your hotel in Pokhara, marking the end of the trek.
